Teatralishe Yumoreskes ("Theatrical Humoresques"), a new book by the actor, singer and writer Razya Adam, was published in Yiddish by H. Leyvik publishers thanks to a contribution from the National Authority for Yiddish Culture.

On Thursday, December 28, 2017, singer Emma Yussim will perform at the Yiddish lovers' club at Sav Center, located at Livne St. 2 in Nazareth Illit, at 11 a.m.

On Sunday, December 24, 2017, the book Vocal Compositions Accompanying Anna Margolin's Poetry by composer and arranger Michael Leinvand will be launched at Beit Yad le-Banim, located at Eli Cohen St. 8, in Ashkelon, at 7 p.m. 

At the launch, Leinvand will speak about the poet's life, after which singer Vira Lozinsky will perform some of the compositions discussed in the book, accompanied by the pianist Regina Dricker.

The collection, entitled Gavoha min ha-Pakhad Ashir (I'll Sing Louder than Fear), spans 100 years and was published with the support of the National Authority for Yiddish Culture.

Yiddish journalist and writer Yitzchok Luden - National Authority for Yiddish Culture 2016 Life Time Achievement Award - passed away at the age of 95.

A memorial will be held on Friday, November 10th, at 11:00 a.m. at Brith Haavoda - Arbeter-ring in Israel, 48 Kalisher Street, Tel Aviv. Tel. 03-5176764.

The family is sitting Shiva at their home, 71 Amishav St., Givatayim, from Monday, November 6th, between 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and between 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The public memorial event in honor of the illustrious Yiddish singer Nechama Lifshitz (1927 – 2017), "the nightingale of Soviet Jewry," took place on October 19, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Einav Cultural Center.

The Center is located at Ibn Gvirol St. 71, Tel Aviv, on the roof of the Gan Ha'ir compound. 

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai, Minister of Immigrant Absorption Sofa Landver, and Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel Edminas Bagdonas were among the guests of honor.
