April 24, 2025 in Jerusalem: memorial event with Yiddishspiel

To commemorate the Holocaust and Heroism Day, we invite you to a moving ceremony in collaboration with the Yiddishspiel Theater which will be held on the eve of Remembrance Day, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 9:45 AM, at the Sherover Hall of the Jerusalem Theatre (David Marcus St. 20, Jerusalem).

During the event, an Izkor prayer will be read and candles will be lit in memory of the victims. The Yiddishspiel Theater will present the performance "The Witness" tellings the story of the Yiddish poet Avrom Sutzkever, who was called to testify at the Nuremberg Trial.

במהלך הטקס תתקיים קריאת יזכור והדלקת נרות לזכר הנספים. כמו כן, תיאטרון היידישפיל יציג את ההצגה "העד", בה סיפורו של משורר היידיש אברהם סוצקבר שנקרא לתת עדות במשפטי נירנברג.
