On Monday, December 18, 2017, singers Ada Pashayev and Roza Klein, students in the Yiddish singing workshop founded by the late Nechama Lifshitz, will perform for the Hadera Yiddish Society. Regina Dricker, musical arranger and the studio's director, will accompany them on the piano.

The event will take place at the Beit Haoleh complex, located at Sheshet Hayamim St. 20, Hadera, at 5 p.m.

On Thursday, November 30, 2017, the Neve Schechter arts and community center will host a literary event dedicated to the publication of a bilingual anthology of Israeli Yiddish poetry. The collection, entitled Gavoha min ha-Pakhad Ashir (I'll Sing Louder than Fear), spans 100 years and was published with the support of the National Authority for Yiddish Culture.

Yiddish journalist and writer Yitzchok Luden - National Authority for Yiddish Culture 2016 Life Time Achievement Award - passed away at the age of 95.

A memorial will be held on Friday, November 10th, at 11:00 a.m. at Brith Haavoda - Arbeter-ring in Israel, 48 Kalisher Street, Tel Aviv. Tel. 03-5176764.

The family is sitting Shiva at their home, 71 Amishav St., Givatayim, from Monday, November 6th, between 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and between 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The public memorial event in honor of the illustrious Yiddish singer Nechama Lifshitz (1927 – 2017), "the nightingale of Soviet Jewry," took place on October 19, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Einav Cultural Center.

The Center is located at Ibn Gvirol St. 71, Tel Aviv, on the roof of the Gan Ha'ir compound. 

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai, Minister of Immigrant Absorption Sofa Landver, and Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel Edminas Bagdonas were among the guests of honor.

On October 7-11, 2017 Yiddish arts activities and events for all ages are taking place at the Yiddishkeit Sukkah near the old Tel Aviv Port (Namal).

On Sunday, September 17, 2017, journalist and literary critic Benny Mer will give a lecture on Samucha Street in Warsaw, which was populated by many Jews before the Holocaust. Among his works, Mer translated Avrom Sutzkever's poetry book Shvartze Kreln (Black Beads) from Yiddish to Hebrew. The event will take place at the Yiddish lovers' club Zusammen (Together), located at Sirkin St. 17, Herzliya, at 5:30 p.m.
