On Sunday, September 17, 2017, journalist and literary critic Benny Mer will give a lecture on Samucha Street in Warsaw, which was populated by many Jews before the Holocaust. Among his works, Mer translated Avrom Sutzkever's poetry book Shvartze Kreln (Black Beads) from Yiddish to Hebrew. The event will take place at the Yiddish lovers' club Zusammen (Together), located at Sirkin St. 17, Herzliya, at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, September 14, 2017, a new album of songs, composed and performed by Yael Izkovich, based on Rivka Basman Ben-Chaim's lyrics, will be launched. On June 11, 2017 the National Authority for Yiddish Culture held a festive symposium marking the 100th anniversary of the death of Mendele Moycher-Sforim, the first classic Yiddish writer. The event took place at the Yad le-Banim hall, located at Pinkas St. 63, Tel Aviv. The symposium program included academic lectures and artistic performances.

Pianist and musical arranger Regina Dricker, the studio's director, will accompany them.

The International Book Fair is taking place at the First Station compound at David Remez St. 4, Jerusalem. Books, CDs and newspapers in Yiddish are also on sale.

On June 14, a concert of Yiddish songs will be also held there at 8.30 p.m. Admission is free.
