June 11: symposium in Tel Aviv marking the 100th anniversary of the death of Mendele
On June 11, 2017 the National Authority for Yiddish Culture held a festive symposium marking the 100th anniversary of the death of Mendele Moycher-Sforim, the first classic Yiddish writer. The event took place at the Yad le-Banim hall, located at Pinkas St. 63, Tel Aviv. The symposium program included academic lectures and artistic performances.
