October 19: Tel Aviv Memorial for Nechama Lifshitz

The public memorial event in honor of the illustrious Yiddish singer Nechama Lifshitz (1927 – 2017), "the nightingale of Soviet Jewry," took place on October 19, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Einav Cultural Center.

The Center is located at Ibn Gvirol St. 71, Tel Aviv, on the roof of the Gan Ha'ir compound. 

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai, Minister of Immigrant Absorption Sofa Landver, and Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel Edminas Bagdonas were among the guests of honor.

The event was sponsored by the National Authority for Yiddish Culture.
