This year in Tel Aviv: a series of sessions on Hasidism

A series of lectures about the world of Hasidism will be held at the ANU Museum (on the Tel Aviv University campus) in the current Hebrew year 5785 {2024/2025).

The sessions will deal with the important and fascinating phenomenon that developed among the Eastern European Jewry. its record being actual to this day.

The program comprises the history of  Hassidim, its reflection in the Yiddish literature, klezmer music, Besht's wanderings, the role of the tzaddik, the mysterious stories about the Rebbe, the role of food in Hasidism, rare films and more. The series includes musical performances and lectures by the best lecturers and artists.

The sessions will take place once a month from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
