Registration for the Yiddish Summer Program at Tel Aviv University opened
Registration has opened for the annual Naomi Prawer Kadar International Yiddish Program at Tel Aviv University, for the summer of 2022. The organizers hope that it will be possible to hold face-to-face classes. In addition, they intend to offer online classes.
The Yiddish Summer Program is a joint venture of Tel Aviv University and Beit Shalom Aleichem, and is managed by the Goldreich Family Yiddish Language, Literature and Culture Institute. The academic director of the program is Dr. Hanna Poland Galai, and the acting director is Professor Justin Cami (Smith College).
The sessions will take place on the Tel Aviv University campus from July 3 to July 28, 2022 (4 weeks), 5 days a week (Sunday-Thursday). The program offers intensive Yiddish instruction at 5 levels. Language instruction will be supplemented by a program of lectures, conversation workshops, tours and diversified cultural events,
.As students of the Tel Aviv University School for Overseas Students, whose credentials are recognized by universities world-wide, participants will receive 80 hours of language and literature instruction (5 credits) with highly qualified and experienced teachers in small classes.
